EvergreenHealth Hospice Care provides services wherever you call home:
As one of the largest hospices in Washington State, we serve patients throughout King and Snohomish Counties.
Members of the hospice team make regular home visits to support the patient and family.
Phone support is also available 24/7 to address your questions or concerns.
There may be times when symptoms (such as severe pain or nausea) cannot be managed in the patient's home.
If this occurs, the hospice team may suggest temporary inpatient care (typically 3 to 5 days) at EvergreenHealth’s Hospice Care Center.
Located on the EvergreenHealth campus in Kirkland, the Gene and Irene Wockner Hospice Center is the only free-standing hospice inpatient center in King and Snohomish counties.
The Hospice Care Center provides eligible individuals short-term acute care, covered under the hospice benefit, with the goal of discharging home once symptoms have been stabilized.
For those interested, a private pay residential program is also available.
The beautiful Cape Cod-style facility was designed to be as home-like as possible, consistent with safety, security and excellent medical care. See photos of the hospice center in our Photo Gallery.
Families and friends can visit at any time, and children are very welcome.
Family pets can even visit after proof of current vaccinations.
The center's 15 private patient rooms each include:
The main family room has a children's corner that gives little ones a place to play.
The gardens surrounding the center include a lush courtyard with a waterfall, a children's play area and walking paths through the rose and alpine gardens.
Each wing features a full kitchen, where families and guests can prepare meals and snacks.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hospice center.
