When to Call 9-1-1
If you are experiencing any of the following, call 9-1-1:
- Abdominal pain (severe)
- Asthma attack (severe)
- Bleeding (uncontrolled)
- Burns (severe)
- Chest pain or discomfort
- Ingestion of poison
- Major head injury
- Shortness of breath
- Significant trauma or injuries
- Unconscious of loss of consciousness
- Visible factures
If you're not sure, call 9-1-1 and the trained dispatcher will help advise you. It is better to be safe and let the 9-1-1 call taker determine if you need emergent assistance.
