When to Call 9-1-1


If you are experiencing any of the following, call 9-1-1:

  • Abdominal pain (severe)
  • Asthma attack (severe)
  • Bleeding (uncontrolled)
  • Burns (severe)
  • Chest pain or discomfort
  • Confusion
  • Dizziness/Fainting
  • Ingestion of poison
  • Major head injury
  • Seizures
  • Shock
  • Shortness of breath
  • Significant trauma or injuries
  • Unconscious of loss of consciousness
  • Visible factures

If you're not sure, call 9-1-1 and the trained dispatcher will help advise you. It is better to be safe and let the 9-1-1 call taker determine if you need emergent assistance.
