Stroke Rehabilitation

The best way to get better after a stroke is to start rehabilitation as soon as possible.

EvergreenHealth Rehabilitation Care is here to partner with you so you can get back as much of your independence and quality of life as possible.

Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation

You have the greatest chance of regaining your abilities during the first few months after a stroke, so it’s important to start rehab as soon as possible.

At EvergreenHealth, our physical, speech and occupational therapists will start working with stroke patients as soon as their medical condition is stabilized.

The Acute Rehabilitation Unit

Should you need more close medical monitoring before being discharged home, you may be transferred to the medical center’s Acute Rehabilitation Unit.

The ARU provides three hours of intense therapy daily for stroke patients in a facility that simulates the home environment.

Outpatient Stroke Rehabilitation

Once discharged home, you will continue your therapy on an outpatient basis at EvergreenHealth Rehabilitation Services, which provides coordinated physical, occupational and speech therapy in one setting under the care of licensed therapists.
