Seasonal & Special Focus Support

To support our community in response to the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19), we are offering support groups online.


Special focus programs target a specific type of loss or audience to offer specific support.

For Men Only

We will review general grief and loss reactions and discuss unique challenges facing men during times of grief.

Meal preparation skills demonstration included.

Women’s Support Group

We will discuss the unique challenges facing women in times of grief. With the support of staff, volunteers and peers, you will be encouraged to share about your loss and discuss coping strategies. A new topic will be discussed each month.

Meets the first Wednesday of each month, 4-5:30 p.m.
Meets the third Wednesday of each month, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Parent Loss Support Group

We will review general grief and loss reactions and discuss the unique challenges faced after the death of a parent.

Children’s Support Group

A support group for children ages 6 to 10 who have experienced a death of a loved one. This support group offers a mix of opportunities for children to express their grief and loss in a safe environment. Whether it’s talking about the loss, using art, playing games, or accessing a therapy dog that will be onsite, with the support of staff and volunteers, children will be encouraged to discover what works best for them.

Parents are required to meet the day before the Children’s Support Group begins to discuss how to support their child.

Teen Support Group

A three week support group series for teens ages 13 to 17 who have experienced a death of a loved one. This support group provides a safe place for teens to connect with other teens who have experienced the loss of a loved one. With the support of staff, volunteers and peers, you will be encouraged to share about your loss and discuss coping strategies.

Hope for the Holidays

We will review additional challenges and complications experienced during the holiday season, as well as offer ideas for coping and making plans for the holidays ahead.

Rose Garden Memorial Ceremony

After careful consideration, due to COVID-19 group gathering limitations, we have decided to cancel the annual Rose Garden Ceremony for 2020. We hope to be able to gather for Rose Garden 2021
