Visitor Policy

Our Visitor Policy for both EvergreenHealth Kirkland and EvergreenHealth Monroe provide you an outline of what you may expect when visiting our hospital campuses. Our visitor policies also provide visiting hours for anyone looking to spend time with a loved one staying in the hospital.

Visitor Policy

Kirkland Campus Visitor Policy

  • Masking in patient care areas becomes recommended but optional, with exceptions.
  • In non-patient care areas, masking will become optional, with some exceptions.

All Patient Care Areas

  • Recommended but optional for:
    • Staff, providers, volunteers, patients, visitors and vendors.
  • Required for:
    • Symptomatic or exposed individuals (staff, providers, patients, visitors and vendors.)
    • Units and departments experiencing outbreaks.

Public Spaces

  • Masking is optional in areas such as:
    • Hallways, elevators, atriums, cafés and parking garages.

Reminders

  • Providers may order isolation precautions based on symptoms, disease process, age or frailty.
  • Staff must mask if patients are masking or requesting masking.
  • Masking is permissible for any health care worker who wishes to continue to mask for any reason.
  • If an outbreak occurs in the unit/department, masking will become mandatory until under control.
  • Separate masking policies may apply to Fred Hutch medical oncology, infusion clinic and other tenants in our Coral and Tan areas.

EvergreenHealth Medical Center Entrance Hours

  • Silver Entrance: 5 a.m. – 8 p.m.
    • West/Silver Elevators: 5 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Blue Entrance: 5 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Red Entrance & Elevator: open 24 hours/7 days a week

To enter the hospital after 8 p.m., please enter through the red entrance.

EvergreenHealth Monroe Entrance Hours

  • Main Lobby: 6 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Trax Café Entrance: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (subject to change based on staffing)
  • Emergency Department Entrance: 24 hours/7 days a week

To enter the hospital after 4 p.m., please enter through the emergency department entrance.
