EvergreenHealth & Regence Contract Negotiations
Following months of negotiations, Regence has agreed to fair contract terms with EvergreenHealth. This means, EvergreenHealth and EvergreenHealth Monroe services will be allowed to continue taking Regence insurance products and remain in network.
EvergreenHealth sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience these negotiations may have caused. We know that access to healthcare on the Eastside is already limited given high patient demand, and we understand our community wants to receive care locally, close to home, from doctors they trust. We will continue to advocate for you.
However, beginning in 2026, EvergreenHealth will not be allowed to accept some Regence insurance products purchased via the Washington Health Benefits Exchange (the Exchange).
Regence is making changes to its product provider networks for 2026, forming a new network called Individual Connect that is available through the Exchange. This new network is built around and accepted by a small number of hospitals in our region and is dependent on the county in which you are receiving care. While EvergreenHealth is contracted through 2025 for plans under Regence's existing Individual Network and Family Network as well as Bridgespan's RealValue Network, we will not be contracted with Regence through the company's new Individual Connect network for 2026. If you purchased a plan under Regence's new Individual Connect network, you should contact Regence to learn how your medical expenses may be impacted and which hospitals and providers are allowed to accept your insurance plan beginning in 2026.
Now through Dec. 15 is annual open enrollment period for the Exchange, which is your opportunity to change to another plan for 2026 that includes EvergreenHealth in its provider networks. Visit www.wahealthplanfinder.org to browse insurance plans and find the best one for you.
