Judith Kuleta Appointed to Snohomish Public Hospital District No. 1 Board of Commissioners

MONROE, Wash.- Judith Kuleta, current Snohomish City Councilmember, has been appointed At-Large Position #5 of the Snohomish County Public Hospital District No. 1 Board of Commissioners (SCPHD #1), also known as EvergreenHealth Monroe. She took her oath of office June 25.
A former nurse, EMT and fire chief, Commissioner Kuleta brings more than three decades of experience in health care, emergency services and public service to the role. She has also served as Director of the Fire Science Program at Bellevue College, leading curriculum development, budgeting and student advisement. Currently, Commissioner Kuleta is serving her second term on the Snohomish City Council, helping to guide policy, the city budget and community engagement efforts.
"The advanced health care services that EvergreenHealth Monroe provides are crucial to our community, and the engagement between the hospital and residents of our district is incredibly important," said Commissioner Kuleta. "I look forward to working with my fellow commissioners to improve access and the health and wellness of the Snohomish County community."
Commissioner Kuleta has a Master's degree from University of Washington, a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and an Associate's degrees in Fire Science and Paramedicine.
"Judith's extensive background in hospital and pre-hospital care, along with her commitment to public service, will be a great asset to our hospital and communities EvergreenHealth Monroe serves," said Board Chair Karen Gahm. "We are fortunate to welcome her to the SCPHD #1 Board of Commissioners.
