MONROE, Wash. — EvergreenHealth Monroe is pleased to announce Scott Stuart, MD, as its new Chief Medical and Quality Officer, as of Dec. 7, 2025. Dr. Stuart first joined EvergreenHealth as a hospitalist in 2005. In this new role, Stuart will oversee clinical operations at EvergreenHealth Monroe, including enhancing patient safety and quality of care, and planning strategies for further growth to meet changing community needs.

"I'm honored to start this new role with EvergreenHealth Monroe," said Stuart. "Since joining EvergreenHealth 20 years ago, I have seen the positive impact that community-based, patient-centered care has on our community, and I am eager to continue that mission with our team in Monroe."

Stuart is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine. As a hospitalist at EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland for the last 20 years, he has cared for patients directly, consulted on surgical cases, assisted with critical care patients and worked closely with EvergreenHealth Hospice Care. Stuart has also collaborated with his colleagues to help lead multiple hospital programs.

"We are greatly looking forward to having Dr. Stuart join our team here in Monroe," said Lisa LaPlante, Chief Administrative Officer at EvergreenHealth Monroe. "His leadership and track record of providing high-quality patient-centered care will elevate our practice and ensure our community continues to have access to the highest level of care close to home."
