EvergreenHealth Medical Group Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer
Kirk Hanson
KIRKLAND, Wash. — EvergreenHealth is pleased to announce Kirk Hanson, MBA, as the new Chief Operating Officer for the EvergreenHealth Medical Group (EHMG), as of July 14, 2025. EHMG is a physician-led, physician-designed group of more than 350 EvergreenHealth primary care doctors and specialists designed to serve patients through seamless collaboration.
Hanson has been on the EvergreenHealth team for two decades, helping shape and expand some of the community-owned hospital system's most essential services. Most recently, Hanson served as the Executive Director of EvergreenHealth Neuroscience, Spine and Orthopedic Care where his work has consistently elevated the quality of care and coordination between providers, staff and patients.
"I feel honored and grateful to serve EvergreenHealth, our mission and our patients," said Hanson. "I look forward to serving the medical group in this new role."
Prior to taking on leadership roles in the health care field, Hanson was a physical therapist, which he credits for helping him connect with patients and gain a unique understanding for care delivery. Hanson also earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business.
"Kirk's leadership is not only visible in metrics and milestones. It's felt in the experiences of patients, the growth of our teams and the strength of our clinical partnerships," said EHMG Chief Medical Officer Mark Freeborn. "True leadership in health care is more than operational excellence: It's the ability to inspire, integrate and advance a shared mission. Kirk embodies this ideal."
