EvergreenHealth's Booth Gardner Parkinson's Care Welcomes Arash Fazl, MD, PhD
Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth's Booth Gardner Parkinson's Care has recently welcomed Arash Fazl, MD, PhD, to its team of skilled neurology specialists in Kirkland.
Dr. Fazl is fellowship-trained and board-certified in neurology. While he specializes in a host of neurological disorders, he specifically treats patients with Parkinson's Disease and those who have atypical Parkinsonism syndromes like progressive supranuclear palsy and multiple system atrophy. He also performs deep brain stimulation (DBS) and Botox injections for movement disorders. Dr. Fazl speaks both English and Farsi.

"His expertise in Parkinson's Disease, understanding of movement disorders and approach to treating each patient holistically will benefit our patients and their families."
According to Dr. Fazl, he chose to pursue medicine because of his fascination with neuroscience and movement disorders and his desire to help patients. His primary care goal when partnering with patients is to help them live their best quality of life. Dr. Fazl understands that being diagnosed with a movement disorder can be complicated, so he prides himself on helping his patients navigate the complex landscape.
Dr. Fazl uses his training as a physician and a neuroscientist to stay up-to-date on the latest research outcomes, thoroughly counsel his patients and support them along whatever treatment path they chose.
Dr. Fazl attended medical school at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He then completed his internship at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. For further education, Dr. Fazl traveled to New York where he completed his residency in general neurology at Mount Sinai Medical School and his fellowship in movement disorders and Parkinson's Disease at the New York Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Fazl received his doctorate in Neuroscience at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.
He was drawn to the Pacific Northwest because of its natural beauty and is looking forward to exploring the outdoors with his family by way of hiking, kayaking and biking. Dr. Fazl also enjoys woodworking when he isn't interrupted by his cats.
