EvergreenHealth Neurosurgery Welcomes Joseph Castro, PA-C

Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth recently welcomed Joseph Castro, PA-C to its team of skilled providers in its Kirkland-based neurosurgery practice.

Castro is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in neurosurgery. In his new role, he treats injuries and disorders of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and the extra-cranial cerebrovascular system.

"We are very excited to have Joseph join our team of skilled providers on our neurosurgery team," said Chris Bredeson, chief operating officer of EvergreenHealth. "His expertise in brain and spinal cord care, coupled with his commitment to continual to learning will serve as a valuable resource to the practice and our patients and their families."

Castro's approach to care is rooted in his ability to build a positive and supportive environment where his patients and their families feel heard. Castro believes that in working as a team with his colleagues at EvergreenHealth's neurosurgery practice, he can best create a care plan that focuses on his patients' health goals and values.

Originally hailing from Kirkland, Washington, Castro attended the University of Washington in Seattle where he received his bachelor's degree in biochemistry. He has served as a certified nursing assistant in multiple roles, including at EvergreenHealth. He most recently completed his physician assistant training program at the University of Washington.

Outside of patient care, Castro enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
