"Moira is a welcome addition to our palliative care team," said Chris Bredeson, chief operating officer at EvergreenHealth. "She brings a holistic perspective and a wide range of therapeutic expertise in controlling pain and integrative care, which will benefit our Eastside community."

Opalka’s practice philosophy is focused on providing holistic care to each of her patients, meaning she cares for the whole person physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. Opalka believes in preventive medicine and hopes to help her patients improve their quality of life so they can feel well for as long as possible.

Opalka received her master's degree in nursing from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California, before pursuing her advanced practice nursing certificate in palliative care at Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care in San Marcos, California.
