EvergreenHealth Orthopedic & Sports Care Welcomes Camille Clinton, MD
Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth recently welcomed Camille Clinton, MD, to its team of skilled physicians and providers in its Orthopedic and Sports Care practice.
Dr. Clinton is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and has a subspeciality board-certification in orthopedic sports medicine. She is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and shoulder surgery from the distinguished Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, New York. She specializes in sports medicine, knee and shoulder arthroscopy and partial and total knee replacements, including robotic-assisted knee replacements.
“Dr. Clinton’s robust training and focused specialization in sports medicine will add immense value to our orthopedic care practice,” said Aileen Mickey, MD, FCCP, chief administrative officer of EvergreenHealth Medical Group. “She brings a wealth of clinical knowledge regarding sports medicine and orthopedic surgery to our community and beyond. We’re so pleased she’s joined our team of committed providers.”
According to Dr. Clinton, she treats all patients, even those with a similar diagnosis or the same orthopedic injury, as unique individuals. In order for her patients to have the best outcome, she draws on her knowledge and technical expertise, and tailors treatment plans to her patients’ individual goals. Dr. Clinton also believes that many patients can be treated non-operatively and she explores non-operative treatments first. If further treatment is necessary, she’s trained in the latest minimally invasive technology and surgical techniques.
Dr. Clinton also believes in working with patients no matter their activity level. She works with weekend warriors, competitive athletes and retirees so they can get back to their desired activities as quickly as possible. Dr. Clinton remains with her patients until their recovery is complete because she has found that recovery and rehabilitation are crucial to the success of all orthopedic procedures. Finally, her care philosophy involves educating her patients so they understand their orthopedic issues and can collaborate as a team.
Before joining the team at EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, Dr. Clinton assisted the team of physicians for the WNBA’s New York Liberty and supported the care of many other recreational, high school, collegiate and professional athletes. She also spent time working with various orthopedic surgeons in the Women’s Sports Medicine Center and conducted her own research regarding rotator cuff tears, allograft ACL reconstructions, female ACL injuries and meniscal allograft transplantation. Dr. Clinton has also been named one of Seattle Magazine’s top doctors from 2018-2020.
Dr. Clinton was a collegiate athlete herself at the University of Notre Dame, where she played women’s soccer. According to Dr. Clinton, her experience as an athlete has shaped her practice as an orthopedic and sports care physician.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Clinton, a Seattle native, enjoys spending her free time with family, running, gardening and hopes to get back on the soccer field soon.
