EvergreenHealth Midwifery Care Welcomes Jillian Walsh, CNM
Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth Midwifery Care recently welcomed Jillian Walsh, CNM, to its team of compassionate midwifery care providers in Kirkland.
Walsh is a board-certified midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner, who specializes in low- to medium-risk prenatal care, labor and delivery, annual exams, screening and treatment of infections and hormonal and hormone-free methods of birth control.
“Jillian is a welcome addition to our team of experienced and compassionate nurse midwives,” said Chris Bredeson, chief operating officer at EvergreenHealth. “She brings a wide range of expertise and is passionate about providing safe care and service, reinforcing our commitment to our community.”
According to Walsh, she was inspired to pursue a career in women’s health after the birth of her youngest brother. She began her career as a labor and delivery nurse, which motivated her to later become a certified nurse midwife.
As part of her practice, she seeks to empower patients by listening to their goals and providing them with education, so they can make informed decisions that promote their personalized, overall health. Walsh graduated from Georgetown University with the master’s degree in midwifery and women’s health. Prior, she graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. During that time, she cared for more than 1,000 patients through primary care, annual exams, genecology, prenatal care, labor and delivery and postpartum care.
Hailing from Malvern, Pennsylvania, Walsh enjoys spending time with her partner, their child and dog, and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles during football season. She also likes spending time hiking, skiing and cooking comfort food.
