EvergreenHealth Weight Loss and Bariatrics Welcomes John Dockins, MD, FACS, FASMB
Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth recently welcomed John Dockins, MD, FACS, FASMB to its team of skilled providers in its Weight Loss and Bariatric Care practice in Kirkland, Washington.
Dr. Dockins is board-certified in surgery and obesity medicine, and brings a wealth of knowledge about morbid obesity and obesity-related diseases to patient care. He specializes in minimally invasive bariatric surgery and esophagogastroduodenoscopies.

According to Dr. Dockins, providing the highest level of care begins with understanding his patient’s holistic health. He believes that to be a skilled bariatric surgeon, one must be invested in all aspects of weight loss and wellness. Dr. Dockins prides himself on remaining committed to his patients throughout their entire weight loss journey so they can improve their health and enjoy a more fulfilling lifestyle.
Prior to joining the weight loss and bariatrics team at EvergreenHealth, Dr. Dockins served as the medical director of bariatric surgery for Coordinated Health in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. During his time there, he established a bariatric surgery program and oversaw all quality and safety protocols related to the program.
Dr. Dockins recently moved to the Seattle area with his wife and two sons. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball at local parks and boating on Lake Washington. Dr. Dockins also volunteers for UNCF Seattle, a nonprofit dedicated to helping minority students attend college and pursue higher education goals.
