EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Sammamish Welcomes Paul Boone, MD, MS
Kirkland, Wash. – The EvergreenHealth Sammamish Primary Care recently welcomed Paul Boone, MD, MS, to its team of family medicine physicians.
Dr. Boone has practiced medicine for over 20 years and comes to EvergreenHealth with a breadth of knowledge in family medicine, preventive medicine, acute illness, chronic disease and common primary care procedures.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Boone join our team of primary care physicians,” said Aileen Mickey, MD, FCCP, chief administrative officer of EvergreenHealth Medical Group. “His demonstrated knowledge of family medicine and passion for providing high-quality care to all his patients, at every stage of life, will serve as a valuable resource to the Sammamish community.”
Dr. Boone’s philosophy of care is rooted in his desire to treat patients holistically. He considers a patient’s entire health history when addressing current issues, and takes his role as a medical coach very seriously. Not only does Dr. Boone prioritize his patients’ physical health, but he also focuses on their overall well-being, as his goal is to improve their quality of life.
Before moving into medicine, Dr. Boone was an ecologist and published research on recombinant genetics. He decided to pursue family medicine because of his desire and passion to work directly with people.
Prior to joining the team at EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Sammamish, Dr. Boone served as a family doctor in both rural and urban areas in Virginia, Tennessee and Alaska. He is board certified in family medicine and received his MD from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
When Dr. Boone isn’t caring for patients, he’s spending time with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson. He and his grandson even share the same birthday. In addition to spending time with family, Dr. Boone enjoys gardening, playing music and helping to fund farming projects in the Philippines.
