EvergreenHealth Neurological Care Welcomes Laura Goldstein, MD

Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth Neurological Care recently welcomed Laura Goldstein, MD, to its team of neurology care providers.

Dr. Goldstein’s clinical expertise is in general neurology, including caring for adult patients with headaches, cognitive disorders and dementia, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, stroke and neurological complications of medical illness.

“Dr. Goldstein is a welcome addition to our team of exceptional neurology specialists,” said Aileen Mickey, MD, FCCP, chief medical officer of EvergreenHealth Medical Group. “Her experience in treating patients with a variety of neurological conditions in both community and academic settings will enhance the care and services we provide to our community on the Eastside, and across the region.”

As part of her commitment to collaboration, Dr. Goldstein values the partnerships she forms with her patients when designing plans of care. By working together to understand and manage symptoms, they are able to create optimized treatment plans that minimize disruption to quality of life.

Dr. Goldstein completed medical school and residency at the University of Michigan Medical School, followed by an internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She then completed her fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, and is certified by both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Goldstein joins EvergreenHealth after serving in a community practice in Illinois for over 20 years. Most recently, she gained seven years of clinical and administrative experience at Northwestern Medical Group and Rush University Medical Center.

In her free time, Dr. Goldstein enjoys spending time outdoors including hiking, running and swimming. She also loves cooking and traveling with her husband, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
