EvergreenHealth Midwifery Care Welcomes Olivia Bennett, CNM, ARNP
Kirkland, Wash. – EvergreenHealth Midwifery Care recently welcomed Olivia Bennett, CNM, ARNP, to its team of midwifery care providers in Kirkland.
Bennett is board-certified in midwifery, and in addition to providing care for low- to medium-risk pregnancies, she specializes in tongue-tie revision for newborns and breastfeeding support. She also advocates for LGBTQ and body-positive, size-inclusive health care.
“Olivia is a welcome addition to our team of caring and compassionate nurse midwives,” said Aileen Mickey, MD, FCCP, chief medical officer of EvergreenHealth Medical Group. “She brings a wide range of experience and is committed to providing the full spectrum of care for LGBTQ+ families, which aligns well with our values of compassion, respect, excellence, collaboration and accountability.”
Bennett is passionate about helping patients become more familiar with how their bodies work and teaching them how to care for themselves in a way that meets their goals and priorities. As a partner in health care, she enjoys educating her patients in all aspects of health and wellness.
Bennett is a Seattle native and trained at Seattle University’s midwife program. Prior to joining the health care field, she worked at Microsoft as a technical editor. After giving birth to her own children with the support of midwives, she was inspired to return to school to complete her midwife training.
Bennett is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and is a member of the 2016 Bree Collaborative on LGBTQ health care.
Bennett enjoys spending time with her partner and two children, along with their two dogs and three cats. She can also be found knitting, reading and tending to her garden.
