Statement from EvergreenHealth
March 6, 2020
At EvergreenHealth, our highest priority is the health and safety of our patients, employees, physicians and the community we serve. We continue to learn from, and respond swiftly to, the ever-changing circumstances by working in partnership with the CDC and Public Health - Seattle & King County to develop guidelines that inform best practice models, to support all COVID-19 patients in receiving the best, safest care possible. We are also committed to ensuring our staff and community remain informed through important resources.
To support the health and safety of our health care team, we are screening all employees at the start of their shift, and again in the middle of their shift, to monitor for symptoms of fever. If any staff member does show symptoms, we have put in place screening and testing procedures—endorsed by the CDC—to determine appropriate next steps, which may include monitoring of symptoms or quarantine until symptoms have resolved.
As our community’s partner in health, we continue to work diligently, collaborating with the CDC and Public Health - Seattle & King County to ensure we continue to respond to these evolving circumstances.
At this time, EvergreenHealth is continuing to support its existing staffing models, and is actively including additional staff to support and adapt to the evolving circumstances.
