Currently, 10 COVID-19 patients under our care have been confirmed, and six COVID-19 patients have
passed away at EvergreenHealth. Our sincerest condolences go out to the families and loved ones of
everyone who has been affected by COVID-19 during this challenging time for our community and
To ensure the safety of other patients under our care, and the safety of our staff, upon identifying
patients meeting the testing requirements, COVID-19 patients and those undergoing testing are placed
in negative airflow environments. Affected patients and those waiting to receive test results are also
placed on ventilators as an added safety measure.
Our infectious disease, safety, quality and emergency preparedness teams, in partnership with our local
and national health authorities, are experts in establishing processes, procedures and safeguards to
ensure we are fully equipped to provide care in an environment of absolute safety no matter the
circumstance. We are prepared with personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies and several of our
spaces are engineered to accommodate negative airflow pressure, among many other safety protocols.
EvergreenHealth, as always, strictly follows the national guidelines and protocol developed by the
Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and local healthcare authorities, including Public Health
— Seattle & King County, as it pertains to prevention and treatment of infectious disease and all public
health risks and concerns. Accordingly, we have acted swiftly, adapting with extreme urgency as the
protocol and guidelines continue to evolve under the direction of our national sources.
We are incredibly proud of our dedicated physicians and staff, who have prepared accordingly, and acted
with urgency and expert professionalism throughout these evolving circumstances—never wavering on
our commitment to providing the best possible care in an environment of absolute safety.
