Diagnosis & Testing
EvergreenHealth Hand Surgery is your one stop for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of pain and injuries to your hand or wrist.
Our hand clinic's experts will pinpoint the root cause of your pain, and then work with you to create an individualized treatment plan based on your diagnosis and your goals.
We'll start with conservative therapy options, such as hand therapy or nonsurgical treatments.
Should surgery be your best option, our fellowship-trained surgeon is a pioneer in minimally invasive and endoscopic hand and wrist surgery.
This is a test of your muscles and nerves. It usually has two parts.
One is a nerve conduction study. This measures how well electricity moves through your nerves.
The second part is a needle electromyogram. It records the electrical signals your muscles make when you move them.
Nerve Conduction Study
This noninvasive, outpatient exam is used to measure how quickly nerves conduct electrical signals through the body.
NCS is a valuable technique for diagnosing nerve damage.
If damage exists, NCS can help a physician find its source.
