If you are experiencing the death of a loved one, our Grief and Bereavement programs can help you.

Our programs are led by staff and trained volunteers, who can answer your questions and register you for the services that can best help you.

The programs serve those who have experienced a death of a loved one within the last thirteen months.

Grief & Bereavement Services

Our services include:

Grief 101 Workshop

This monthly, two-hour workshop is a good place to start if you experienced a recent loss or are just beginning to feel the impact of the death.

You'll learn about what's expected during the first year of grief, along with helpful coping strategies.

The group meets the second Monday of each month from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Bereavement Support Groups

We recognize that your loss is very individual, so we offer a variety of support groups to accommodate different grieving styles and circumstances.


Navigating Through Grief

A six‐week, two‐hour support group for adults that provides a safe environment for those coping with the death of a loved one. You will receive information and emotional support, obtain new insights, discuss skills for coping, and learn how to adjust to your loss.

Tuesdays, November 4 - December 9, 2025 | 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Mindfulness Meditation Support Group

This six-week support group series is for individuals who have experienced a death of a loved one and wish to explore mindfulness meditation exercises to address grief and loss. Exercises are chair and mat based.

This group appeals to those who process grief through activity outlets better than with traditional talk-therapy approaches. Space is limited.

Thursdays, January 16 – February 20, 2026 | 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Creative Expressions of Grief

A six-week, two-hour support group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one and wish to creatively explore mourning and life changes.

This support group appeals to those who process grief through activities and creative outlets better than with traditional talk-therapy approaches.

No previous art or writing experience necessary. All materials are included.

Spring 2026 | TBD

Special Focus Support

Seasonal programs are offered for support during those times of the year that can often trigger more intense grief. Special focus programs target a specific type of loss or audience to offer specific support.

Till Death Do Us Part

This is a six-week, two-hour support group specifically designed for those who have lost a spouse. We believe experiencing the compassion and understanding of those sharing a similar loss can be of great comfort to you. Under the guidance of a facilitator, we provide a safe space to explore and understand the hard truths of spousal loss. Each session will address normal and sometimes overwhelming issues to losing a spouse and how to help yourself as you mourn this significant loss.

Planting Bulbs for Tomorrow

This is a support group that offers a nurturing space for individuals who have experienced a death of a loved one to find solace and community through a shared passion for gardening. We believe gardening can be a tool used to navigate grief - space to regulate emotions and be present, instill a sense of purpose and hope, and promote a connection to the cycle of life and memory.

Spousal Loss Group

We will review general grief and loss reactions and then discuss the unique challenges faced after the death of a spouse.

Parent Loss Support Group

We will review general grief and loss reactions and discuss the unique challenges faced after the death of a parent.

Parents Supporting Grieving Children

We will discuss the challenges facing children in times of grief and how parents/caregivers can support them. This one day 2-hour educational class will provide strategies to talk to children and assist them in coping with the loss. This is also an opportunity to connect with other parents/caregivers that are experiencing similar questions about supporting children.

Rose Garden Memorial Ceremony

This 30‐minute ceremony (followed by a reception) is a community‐wide event to remember and honor those who have died.
