Neurological Classes & Support Groups
EvergreenHealth offers many resources for our patients and their families. Our Neurological Classes and Support Groups are geared at those recovering from, or living with neurological disorders, such as Parkinson's Disease, MS, and stroke. We also offer support for those caring for loved ones living with those conditions.
Support Groups
Living Mindfully with Chronic Illness
Support group facilitated by the Center for Chronic Illness for those wanting to live mindfully and with self-compassion.
When: Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month, 6–7 p.m.

Women Living with Parkinson's
Women living with Parkinson's have their own unique experiences, concerns and needs. Our women-centered group provides a supportive environment to discuss topics and concerns with others who understand and can relate to your experiences.
When: Second Tuesday of each month, 3–4:30 p.m.

Men's PD Support Group
This group is for men living with Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's-related disorders to meet virtually to share and celebrate our successes, discuss limitations and support each other.
When: Second Tuesday of each month, 3–4:30 p.m.

Neurofitness and Health Support Classes
PWR! Moves
A 60-minute Parkinson's-specific, skills-based exercise class offered by Parkinson's Wellness Place and the EvergreenHealth Booth Gardner Parkinson's Care Center designed to help restore or maintain your independence, mobility and movement.
When: Classes are every Friday from 12–1 p.m. and offered in 8-week cycles.
Where: EvergreenHealth Medical Center, Green 1270/1272
Fee: $135/person for the 8-week series

From the Ground Up - Neurologically Focused Fitness Classes
Presented by EvergreenHealth Rehabilitation Services, this class features floor-based exercises designed specifically for people with neurological challenges that include elements of yoga, tai-chi, and dumbbell and exercise band movements. All participants must be able to get onto their mat independently or with the assistance of a chair.
When: First Monday of every month at 1:45 –2 p.m. See class schedule for dates and registration.

Neuro-Nutrition Class
An interactive class and discussion group where you can learn how to plan a healthy diet, understand your nutritional needs and develop a plan for food preparation that matches your abilities.

Parkinson's Education Workshops
PD Essentials: An Introduction to Parkinson's Disease
Join us for a program designed for anyone new to Parkinson's Disease (PD), including friends and family members of people who have recently been diagnosed. These sessions are offered by a collaboration between the American Parkinson Disease Association and the Booth Gardner Parkinson's Care Center at EvergreenHealth.
When:

- Wednesday, April 29, 1–2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Aug. 25, 6–8 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 17, 12–1:30 p.m.

Attendance and parking are free, but registration is required.
DBS 101 - Deep Brain Stimulation
Learn about Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's Disease or Essential Tremor from Idil Baysal, ARNP.
