Experience

Dr. Semonti Hossain is a native of Bothell and is excited to be returning to serve her community after spending the past several years providing care to women in the greater Boston area.
Over these years, she has developed a variety of interests including management of low and high risk pregnancies as well as infertility, menopausal health, family planning, and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery.
She also has an active interest in global health and has worked abroad in Haiti and Bangladesh with an interest in improving maternal health. She is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of medical professionals as well as improving patient education and experience.

Philosophy of Care

I believe education has a critical role in the success of a patient-doctor relationship. It is important that my patients receive culturally competent care, regardless of their background or walk of life. Each stage in a woman's life introduces a new set of challenges and opportunities, and I look forward to partnering with you on a journey towards health and happiness!

Personal Information

I am a native of Washington State and a UW graduate. My ties to EvergreenHealth go back to high school, when I was a teen volunteer.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring local cafes, trying international cuisine, and learning about new cultures through travel with my husband and family along with spin classes, cooking, photography and time with family.

Community Involvement

I work as the Reproductive Health Lead for Her WILL, an organization fostering development of Bangladeshi female professionals.

I was nervous about the visit, but the doctor helped me to feel at ease. She listened to my concerns and experience, expressed genuine care for what I was going through, gave advice and options in a way that was easy to understand, and followed up on the things she promised (sent a video, referral, etc.).

Dr. Hossain is an incredible human being. She always makes me feel heard and attended to, and she makes space for all of my questions and train of thought. She gives me resources to review, for instance videos and podcasts about pregnancy, postpartum, and fertility as we age. I am so fortunate to be her patient.
