He seemed dismissive and didn't seem to understand why I had made the appointment

First time visit. The past 3x I have had a different provider because they've moved on. It's difficult to establish rapport in a one time relationship.

I came away from this appointment with the realization that I was in control of my health and he was a partner in helping me make healthy decisions.

I will repeat one more time:I made the appointment at request of Dr. Cuthbert, to have additional check on blood pressure. Admitting nurse demanded that I wear a mask, that I AM UNABLE TO USE BECAUSE OF BREATHING ISSUES DUE TO COPD. When informed of this condition, she got snuffy and stuck me in a back room , and I was not able to see Dr. Cuthbert. She did take blood pressure, and I later found it was recorded as high. (later readings at home do not show this).I later received a letter stating that if I would not wear a mask, that I should seek another provider. In my opinion, that is a pretty poor standard of care. I have previously seen Dr. Cuthbert, and had none of these managerial Issues at that time. As a matter of interest, when I made appointment for a scheduled checkup with my cardiologist, I mentioned my difficulties breathing with a mask, and the assistant at my cardiologist's office (also an Evergreen provider) offered to provide an open face shield, and said she would be happy to meet me at the front to provide same. I was not threatened with loss of my provider from their offices.

Very patient, concerned and willing to listen to what I had to say or ask.

In the absence of my primary physician, I requested a Dr's. Letter regarding some new physical requirements imposed on me at RTO. He discussed more information about his role, my condition, and possible treatments in that Letter with my employer than he did with me. I couldn't even use his Letter because it left me with the feeling that he felt I was being disingenuous about my limitations. If he would have discussed informed about everything I would have made follow up appointments to have my issues reassessed and move forward with any treatment plan. I'm very glad there are treatment option, But he didn't give me that option before he wrote the letter! The letter could have been written with a much better tone.I'm very upset and will be moving my care outside of Evergreen Monroe to seek professional medical assessments with a treatment plan.

Impressed with attention to details and thoroughness with a plan/next steps.

I was surprised and unhappy to learn that this provider would not prescribe anxiety medication that I have taken effectively to fly for 15 years because he doesn't think it works. He indicated he would give me two tablets, but I would need to come back one day before my flight. Having the medication with me prior to the flight has helped me fly many times, without panic.I was looking for a primary care physician, but I'm thinking he may not be a good fit for me.

Not so excited about getting sent to physical therapy. I have been down this road before and felt like I wasted several weeks before the insurance mafia thought I could actually fix the problem w surgery. Feels like the same journey but it's how the game is played I guess

I looked for a non-big pharma pushing DO instead of MD, I don't think I found that yet.
