Personal Information

I grew up in the Inland Northwest and started working in the medical field as a junior volunteer with aspiration of following my mother into the medical field.
As a registered nurse, I began working with cardiac patients. As a nurse practitioner, I have worked in urban native health, primary care and then moved on to specialize in otolaryngology.

Community Involvement

I am a member of the Lake Washington PTSA and parent volunteer specifically with the Art Docent program; bringing art and history to elementary students through hands on artistic opportunities.
I am also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Sarah Mpare is an excellent practitioner. What is immediately apparent are her many years of ENT experience, particularly with hearing problems. She was very knowledgeable about the causes of my temporary hearing loss and suggested the most effective treatment.

The provider consistently cut me off mid explanation and offered no information regarding my situation. It felt like the provider was judging me and why I was seeing the doctor.

Maybe because there wasn't much that could be done for me, but the provider didn't seem to be very concerned about my situation. And I had to ask her specifically about things that were in my visit record that prompted the referral to her from a PCP.

Sarah Mpare, ARNP, gets great reviews from patients, and I now know why. She is very attentive, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She put me on the treatment regime that was needed to help restore the loss of hearing in my left ear. She practices medicine holistically in a patient-centric manner. Listed carefully to my issues and concerns. Sarah was warm and caring. She made sure I understood options for further testing. Address all toy issues, and discussed any other concerns that were not the original ones, and put me in the right direction to have them addressed.

This provider was outstanding. She was thorough, willing to explain symptoms including context, provided a broader scope of health than most clinicians. I felt she really cared about my well being. She remembered and understood how my other health concerns were part of the bigger picture. I wish all my doctors showed this kind of care for my health and well-being. She is very knowledgeable and well informed, and a good communicator.
