My goal as a physician is to treat the whole person, not simply the disease process that they are experiencing. I believe that caring for a patient involves attention not only to the health of the body, but also to the goals, belief system, and emotional well-being of the patient. I also feel that part of the physician's role is to educate patients and their caregivers. My hope is that this will empower my patients to be at the center of their own care, and to make informed decisions about their treatment.
