Only thing I would hope would be better would be if she had had the time to thoroughly review my medical history before I arrived. I took the time to have my medical history sent to the office and I brought an extra copy with me but I'm not sure any of it was reviewed. But I really like her!

I really appreciated the amount that my doctor listened to my concerns and discussed them with me. She quickly determined the level of my understanding and treated me as an educated adult which I really appreciate and is refreshing. She was good at helping me distinguish between concerns that I shouldn't worry about (while not being dismissive or patronizing) and then addressing the concerns that deserved attention. I think the only thing I wish she had done differently was tell me which blood tests she was ordering for me and why. We discussed most of them but there was a group I wasn't familiar with and it would have been nice for her to just say that she'll do some kidney function tests when we were discussing my pertinent health concern.

Care provider showed excessive concern for my weight, over any of the actual issues I complained about.

Dr. Nepal made a great effort in trying to unravel my thyroid issue - extremely low TSH. She had the honesty - which I really appreciated - to admit she wasn't familiar with the presentation of this thyroid pattern - extremely low TSH, and normal T3 & T4. After several labs and med adjustments with no resolution, she had the wisdom to refer me to an Endocrinologist for further investigation and solution. A compassionate and caring physician.

I like that she does take time to listen, and I don't feel rushed or like I'm just another number.

asked for help with weight loss and felt a lot of random ideas were thrown around as to what is causing the problem. I finally got help from a personal trainer, doctors and nutritionists have been unable to provide any advice.

Dr. Nepla was going to increase my dosage for medicine and told me she'd do it right away. I went to my pharmacy 8 hours later and they had not been contacted. She was also going to have her assistant check for when I'm due for my next colonoscopy and I've not heard anything back yet.

Provider was very kind and welcoming. I have some chronic medical conditions I have managed for years (recently moved to Washington) so I am versed in what does or does not work for me. Would like better acknowledgement and participation in health decisions rather than just reverting back to beginning treatments for conditions that maybe new to my provider, but not myself. Also, provider reviewed my height and weight which calculates a BMI score. Because my BMI score was higher than normal, the provider immediately recommended an exercise program and diet without looking at me as a patient versus the computer screen. I was bit taken back, as I exercise 5-6 times a week and am on a diet. My bodyfat % is 11% as last measured. Meaning I have a significant amount of muscle mass (Yes I weight lift pretty heavily) This will always skew my BMI calculation score higher, but is not representative of being obese. I would hope the provider would have actually assessed me before making that recommendation.
