I developed an interest in cardiovascular physiology and health in college as a kinesiology major and member of the women's collegiate rowing team at the University of Wisconsin.
I pursued a career as a physician to help patients achieve optimal health, with a focus on lifestyle modification, so that they can live life to the fullest.
In my free time I enjoy exercising, spending time with my family and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

She gave me the results (personally) by phone immediately of tests. Was told results would be a few days. Normal for the industry. Dr. Benes was way ahead of the curve.

It's a bit odd to hear comments such as "out of 200 people who take this drug, there will be one less adverse incident" (and I assume that implied "versus a control group of 200 who did not take the drug"). So...the medical community is asking 199 people to take a drug which will offer them no benefit and has potentially adverse side effects? I would like to read the literature on that to understand whether the effect of the particular drug is truly statistically significant. But I am certainly grateful that the provider shared that data with me so we could have a meaningful conversation about the benefit-cost trade-offs.

Dr. Benes is my third cardiologist at your clinic. Though young, she has a very good bedside manner, is friendly, courteous and a good natured person. She seems to really know her business and I appreciate her.
