Personal Information

I developed an interest in cardiovascular physiology and health in college as a kinesiology major and member of the women's collegiate rowing team at the University of Wisconsin.
I pursued a career as a physician to help patients achieve optimal health, with a focus on lifestyle modification, so that they can live life to the fullest.
In my free time I enjoy exercising, spending time with my family and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Benes represents the best of cardiology and the medical profession. She is knowledgeable but also individualizes pt care based on their unique needs. She inspires confidence and hope in the treatment but also educates about side effects as well. I just started a new medication and I am hopeful it will work. Dr. Benes helped make this happen by ordering the right tests to explain to insurance companies why I needed it.

All year my blood pressure has been scary high numbers. Saw Dr. Benes, picked up new prescription, and my blood pressure was 119/71 HR - 36. Good experience, problem solved!!!!!!!!
