Philosophy of Care

First, I will be knowledgeable. Maintaining current knowledge and skills will allow me to provide you with the best possible care and also to empower you by educating you on your health. I do not believe in one size fits all medicine. I will listen to and work closely with you with the goal of providing treatment that is tailored to the specific goals of each individual.

Personal Information

I feel privileged to have the opportunity to interact with and form relationships with patients and their families as a big part of my career. The science of medicine is fascinating, but it's the people who keep it fresh day after day!
In my free time my husband, daughter and I love exploring the outdoors and getting some exercise, and then enjoying a great meal together. I also love yoga, singing, traveling and reading a great novel (always open to recommendations).

Dr. Mitchell is amazing. Very kind. Explains everything in the detail you need. Maintains eye contact. Very compassionate. My son and daughter-in-law are accompanying me to the appointments as extra ears and questions, and we all think Dr. Mitchell is truly amazing.

"Very Good," falls short of describing the doctor I saw. Her rapport with the patient is superb, I just don't have the right words to say it. It was a relational rapport.

Dr. Mitchell has always been amazing. She has a wonderful combination of skills. She's a great communicator, is always up on the latest treatments for my asthma and is kind and caring. I don't know how she could be better than she is. I feel lucky to have her as one of my health care providers.
