Philosophy of Care

First, I will be knowledgeable. Maintaining current knowledge and skills will allow me to provide you with the best possible care and also to empower you by educating you on your health. I do not believe in one size fits all medicine. I will listen to and work closely with you with the goal of providing treatment that is tailored to the specific goals of each individual.

Personal Information

I feel privileged to have the opportunity to interact with and form relationships with patients and their families as a big part of my career. The science of medicine is fascinating, but it's the people who keep it fresh day after day!
In my free time my husband, daughter and I love exploring the outdoors and getting some exercise, and then enjoying a great meal together. I also love yoga, singing, traveling and reading a great novel (always open to recommendations).

I really like Dr. Mitchell. She explained everything really well, including for the treatment plan she was proposing. Doing less invasive tests first.

She took time to go up and down 3 flights of stairs with me to check my oxygen level while climbing stairs. Definitely above and beyond what what many doctors would do to help - I really appreciated it.
