Philosophy of Care

I practice from a trauma-informed perspective that emphasizes self-compassion. I use a socio-ecological approach that prioritizes understanding how clients' relationships, community, and social pressures can influence their mental health and wellness. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives and I enjoy supporting them in better understanding both problems and solutions. Additionally, I incorporate a feminist therapy lens, which emphasizes empowerment, equality, and the importance of understanding the intersections of gender, identity, and societal norms. This approach fosters a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship, allowing clients to explore their strengths and agency while addressing the complexities of their lived experiences.
