Philosophy of Care

I believe that good physicians are educators first and I truly enjoy the teaching part of my practice. It's challenging to break down complicated medical issues and work towards a shared understanding.
I don't think that successfully treating complicated medical conditions (or even simple ones) is possible without a partnership between the patient and the physician, and a successful partnership needs a mutual understanding of the task at hand.

Personal Information

I am a life-long Northwesterner. I was born in Seattle and grew up in Issaquah. My earliest memory is the Starbucks in Pike Place Market (my family is full of coffee snobs).
I am proud to say that the winter rain doesn't bother me...much...and I think the northwest has the best summers in the entire USA. Pro Tip: Here in the Northwest, September weather is almost always better than June and Seattle summers start on the 5th of July.
I am a graduate of The University of Washington Medical School but I'm rarely up to speed on sports so you'll have to tell me what's up with the Huskies. Some people who knew me in college never knew my name. I was always "That guy on the mountain bike". I still ride, but a lot slower.
My family and I are rock climbers and avid snowboarders. I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu weekly.

Awesome! I did not receive a follow up phone call on same day as stated by the provider - rec'd next day comments via the portal. Was told someone would reach out to me to schedule shots appt. - no one did, I called 5 days later to schedule.

found this doctor when he saw me his attitude changed, I'm fat, and I felt like he just wanted to be done with me, and that none of my concerns were valid.

He was very easy to talk to and explain what my problem is, which I find is very important in a dr.

Essentially had me self diagnose and wrote orders for tests if I felt like it. Didn't give me any solution and prescribed more steroids before we even talked that didn't help the issue.
