I had a fair amount of anxiety coming into this appointment, because I knew it was going to be a discussion of potentially needing to surgically remove some fibroids. I've never had surgery before, and I expressed this. I had hoped that Dr. Song would then be more reassuring in explaining exactly what surgery needed to be done, the risks of surgery vs not doing surgery, whether or not I should have myomectomy vs a hysterectomy, or if there were other options. And I felt like she didn't do those things, and rather was like "well you decide, do you want the surgery or not" (this is a generalization of the vibe, she did not directly say that to me). I 100% understand the need for the patient to feel like they're in control of their medical care and planning, so perhaps she was just ensuring I knew it was my choice, but I felt a general lack of instruction/knowledge as to what the options were, advantages/disadvantages, if I could just do nothing. And I felt like I was prodding that info from her, like I was a bother and should "just know all this already". I don't know how to best explain it

When the doctor was in the room it was a very rushed exchange. When the doctor left the room, I could hear her and her coworkers outside the door.

She repeatedly threatened to leave the room and and the appointment because I was frustrated and she would not listen to the history of the issue. It was very clear she didn't care at all!

If Dr Kathleen Song, DO was a PCP she's the ones I'd go to. Her care knowledge and manner is above than what I expected. In the event of another pregnancy I'd choose her again and recommend everyone as well.

I came to Dr Song bc of pain during sex. At no point did Dr Song offer help to my problem. She talked to me about menopause and being over 50. But not once did she offer a solution to the reason I came. She was a very nice Doctor, but wasted my time. I even asked her if it will go away, and she said probably not and still didn't offer any solution!?
