Experience
Kate Wiken, DNP, ARNP, AGPCNP-BC graduated from the University of Washington DNP program specializing in adult and geriatric primary care. She has a broad range of experience, having worked as a nurse on a medical/surgical unit at the Seattle VA hospital, and in the cardiology clinic at University of Washington Medical Center. Her clinical rotations during the DNP program included time in the heart failure clinic at UWMC, and at a small, rural urgent care clinic in Mossyrock, Washington. Prior to joining EvergreenHealth, she worked as a primary care provider doing house-calls for elderly, home-bound patients in the north Seattle area. In this role she developed a passion for treating sleep disorders, especially sleep apnea, after seeing how her patients' quality of life and overall health could be improved by helping them with their sleep.
