Personal Information

I'm a native of Bellevue and graduated from the UW, where I was recognized as a Mary Gates Research Scholar. I was also highly involved with the sports medicine athletic training team responsible for taking care of the UW football athletes.
With my interests in sports medicine and science colliding, and further fueled by my pride for the Huskies, I attended medical school at the University of Washington. I then embarked on a tour of the PAC-12 conference by completing an orthopedic residency at the University of Arizona and a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Southern California where I cared for many elite college athletes.
My wife, daughter and black lab and I returned to the Pacific Northwest to practice orthopedics and enjoy all the area has to offer. When not in the office, I enjoy running, snowboarding, fishing, camping, boating, live music, and the ups and downs of being an avid Seattle sports fan.

The comment "there probably is miniscus tear in both knees" sort of bothered me. Why wasn't an MRI ordered to determine if there was a tear? I think that might have something to do with the pain. Maybe he said it didn't... IDK but now I'm going to get a second opinion.
