Experience

Dr. Daniel Burdick is fellowship-trained in movement disorders and has treated more than one thousand patients with Parkinson's disease.

Clinical Expertise

All neurological movement disorders, including: Parkinson's disease, including evaluation and management of Deep Brain Stimulation systems
Other Parkinsonian syndromes, including vascular parkinsonism, Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP)
Dystonia, including spasmodic torticollis, focal dystonia, and blepharospasm, and including Botox treatments for these conditions
Essential Tremor; other forms of tremor; Huntington's disease

Philosophy of Care

My approach is one of shared decision-making. I'm expert at understanding the symptoms of movement disorders and at knowing what effects different treatments may have, but only you know your goals. Once I understand your goals, I can make suggestions that help you achieve them.
One of the things I love best about being a movement disorders neurologist is the opportunity to establish rapport and trust with you over a long-term relationship.

Neither of the two neurologists I've seen Evergreen has show much compassion towards me regarding my degenerative disease. My wife had a much better experience with her cancer team at UW/SCCA. The Evergreen neurologists seem to have an attitude of "Yeah. You have PD. There's nothing we can do. See you in 6 months." I'm in the process of finding a Parkinson's center who offers much more than Evergreen.
