Philosophy of Care

All patients are unique. While the concerns or pathology may be similar, bodies, goals and priorities may be different. Whether my patient is a weekend warrior, competitive athlete or retiree, I work to get them back to their desired activities as quickly and safely as possible. We work together to make the most appropriate treatment plan beginning with non-operative options when appropriate.
When operative treatment is needed I apply the latest technology and use minimally invasive techniques. A successful surgery is only part of what is required for an excellent outcome. The post-operative recovery and rehabilitation is crucial to the success of most procedures. To this end, I believe it is critical to remain supportive and involved in patient care until recovery is complete.

I grew up in Seattle, then attended the University of Notre Dame where I played on the women's soccer team.

I was worried about having surgery because most the time I feel fine. But, when the spur gets in the wrong place I am in excruciating pain. She explained the exact thing I feel. She also saw on the MRI And x-ray what was wrong! She told me that it will come and go. This is true. I am so good most of the time. When it is in the wrong place, it is horrible!

I value the comprehensive approach Dr. Clinton takes throughout the joint replacement pre-op, inter operative, and post operative process. It is a significant surgery & recovery for the patient & family. Dr Clinton does her best to optimize patient outcomes through nutrition, therapy, & in the OR. Dr Clinton, her PA Katie & MA Christi are prompt in replying to questions/concerns. I benefitted from this outstanding team and am most grateful!

I was impressed by the focus and care Dr. Clinton showed toward me and my injury and how thoroughly she discussed my injury and surgical options with me. She did not seem to be in a rush to get to her next appointment and allowed me the time I needed to get answers to all of my questions. The level of attention that she showed made me confident that she will provide excellent care and be committed to helping me achieve the best outcome possible for my injury.

I have referred countless friends to Dr Clinton. She is a phenomenal doctor and surgeon; she knows what she is talking about, able to handle complex situations and medicine appropriately, but she is also a welcoming and caring human. It is easy to see why she is so well-liked, which goes so much further beyond good healthcare. The office and entire team are just as great - you're lucky to have them!
