Personal Information

I grew up alpine skiing, mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing in Boise, Idaho. After college at Duke University, I returned to the Pacific Northwest for medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where I was fortunate to meet the love of my life. We spent seven years completing our specialty medical training at the University of Pittsburgh, and we are excited to finally return to the Pacific Northwest.
We love hiking, skiing, boating and weekend trips to Lake Roosevelt with family and our dog, Brooks.

Very professional and patient.
March 30, 2022
He was courteous and knowledgeable thorough - But he doesn't treat meniscus and sent me to another clinician at Evergreen. Not a warm fuzzy guy but no problems.

I am extremely pleased to have the patient passport partial replacement. It's excellent way to organize a complicated series of appointments.

After having previous doctors basically tell me "your knee is stuck like that" then having Dr Rothenberg look at it and not only tell me he can fix it, but ACTUALLY FIX IT, I literally can't express how amazing he is. I thought he was awesome after he had replaced my hip, but then to do the knee after is totally life changing. He deserves a bazillion gold stars!

Since this was a 1 year follow-up to partial knee replacement, your survey is not a good measure. I would go back to Dr. Rothenberg without hesitation if the need were to arise.

Provider was running behind sched. This was an expected discussion and treatment plan. Instead went directly to H.A. treatment, then briefly answered a few questions - then departed. It was clear he wanted to move on. So much for any remaining questions I had.

Did seem a bit rushed at the end.

Seemed rushed.

I had a prior hip replacement by a different surgeon that was done right; but still I dislocated that hip twice and therefore needed a redo. I had concerns about metal allergies and a quirky anatomical factor. Dr. Rothenberg listened to all of my concerns, had numerous options for replacement parts and a solution to my Issues that contributed to the dislocations. I think he did a fantastic job of getting me back to 100% and I am grateful to be able to do what I want to do. My hip really Is as good as new!

After the visit, comments in notes were not discussed with me at the visit. Comments about dental care and prescription never happened.
