Lisa LaPlante, MHA

Interim Chief Administrative Officer

Lisa LaPlante joined EvergreenHealth Monroe in April of 2010 to lead the Quality Division.

Born and raised in Rhode Island, LaPlante moved west in 1993 and accepting a manager position at a hospital-based home health agency in Moab, Utah. She spent the next 8 years expanding the service to include four additional branches, a hospice, and a certified diabetes education program. Prior to leaving Utah, LaPlante managed an urgent care clinic and also obtained licensure as a durable medical equipment provider.

In 2002, LaPlante accepted a position overseeing accreditation at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colorado, where she gained increased responsibility in the areas of quality, safety, utilization review, risk management, and plant operations. In 2007, she became a part of the executive team as the Chief Quality and Compliance Officer.

After several years in leadership positions at EvergreenHealth Monroe, LaPlante was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2017 to focus on service line enhancement and development and overall hospital operations. She lives in Monroe and is active member in the community, serving on the Snohomish County YMCA Board as well as the Snohomish County Leadership Council for the American Cancer Society.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Services and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix.

John Green, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

John Green joined EvergreenHealth Monroe in June 2018 from St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana, where he served as Vice President of Finance from 2003 – 2017. He oversaw all financial operations for the 123-bed hospital, 60-physician medical group, foundation and joint ventures. He also served as the hospital’s chief compliance officer.

His career spans nearly 40 years of health care financial experience, including positions in the Provena Health system.

John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southern Illinois University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Midori Larrabee, MD, FACP

Chief Medical and Quality Officer 

Midori Larrabee, MD, is Chief Medical Officer of EvergreenHealth Monroe. She had previously served as hospitalist medical director at Valley General Hospital, prior to it's affiliation with EvergreenHealth.

In her role as Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Larrabee is involved in all aspects of the delivery of medical care at the 72-bed Monroe hospital, including the hospital’s initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and its work to integrate clinical care with the EvergreenHealth Kirkland campus.

Dr. Larrabee received her medical degree from the University of Washington, and completed both her internship and residency there as well.

Brenda Sharkey, MSN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer 

Brenda Sharkey joined EvergreenHealth Monroe in January of 2018, and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day and strategic operations for inpatient nursing areas, emergency services and overall nursing practice at EvergreenHealth Monroe.

Sharkey joins Monroe with more than 25 years of nursing experience, most recently serving as Chief Clinical Officer in both the public district sector at Summit Pacific Medical Center and the private sector at Prestige Care – a post-acute care organization managing 80 skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities.

She holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Nursing and Health Education, as well as Master of Nursing and Master of Business Administration degrees. Sharkey has also served as a Regional Lean Six Sigma Black Belt trainer for seven years, and incorporates lean principals into her process improvement plans and strategic initiatives.
