Board Certified in Family Medicine
I have enjoyed a wide variety of medical practice experiences during my career. I went to the University of Wisconsin Medical School under a US Army scholarship and then served in military medical facilities in Tacoma, Germany and California. After that, I went back to Minnesota for 10 years, doing Family Practice including obstetrics in a large medical system. I returned to Washington in 2001 and have practiced in a variety of settings here including a small rural clinic, doing home urgent care house calls, working in an integrated medical clinic with naturopathic and alternative providers, working in a specialized wound care clinic and also working for the Navy and VA clinics.
I believe your physician should be an excellent listener, advisor and educator. Advice and treatment is an agreement with shared responsibility. Personal needs, desires, lifestyles and expectations will guide a plan to enhance long-term health.
In the Community
The Midwest is a great place to be from and Washington is a great place to live. My family has lived in the Sky Valley since 2001, and we enjoy playing on our small property of woods, pasture and river, caring for our animals including dogs, cats and llamas and harvesting from our garden and fruit trees. We also enjoy travel, camping and hiking.
