Philosophy
As a family physician, I'm interested in the health of the entire person which encompasses all body systems and emotional well-being. Most often it is the patient who has the greatest insight into his or her own health. It is my responsibility, therefore, to listen carefully and develop a health plan that follows preventative guidelines suited to the individual as well as provide the best management of acute and chronic illness. I see my role not only as an evidence-based medical doctor but as a part of the patient's health care team which includes needed medical specialists and medical support staff.
Personal Information
I'm excited to be back on the West Coast, returning from New England after living more than a decade in Northern California. More than anything I enjoy spending time with family and friends and the Pacific Northwest is a wonderful place for that. I was born in the Midwest and incidentally, my very first professional baseball game was at Wrigley Field, Cubs versus Mariners. Go Mariners!

Reviewed on January 15, 2021 I have had a lot of very un-helpful doctors in the past, and I am so lucky to have found Doctor Abbot. Not only is she wonderful to talk to, kind, honest, and hilarious, but she really cares about her patients and is always ready to find a new solution. She is always assuring that despite my fairly frequent visits that she still always cares and is always ready to keep moving forward, even if something we've tried before hasn't worked. Doctor Abbot is the best there is.
Reviewed on January 14, 2021 it seemed like the diagnosis of my condition was a 'stab in the dark' as was the drug prescribed. I thought a consultation with another physician might have been appropriate.
Reviewed on January 6, 2021 Great doctor! Enjoyed my visit and her strong grasp of the issues I was concerned about.
Reviewed on December 24, 2020 Dr. Abbot was great. She did not judge me, she listened and provided information.
Reviewed on December 14, 2020 excellent physician. glad to have her as my new physician. easy to talk to
Reviewed on November 4, 2020 good
Reviewed on October 14, 2020 Dr. Abbot is probably the best doc I've ever gotten to see. She was engaged and focused on giving me the best care.
Reviewed on September 2, 2020 Dr Sarah Abbot was the best! My wife joined me on my second visit and is likely to use Dr Abbot in the future. Dr Abbot took the time to establish a personal connection with both me and my wife. She also explained the treatment options for my injury. We reviewed the X-rays and the tech evaluations. Dr Abbot and the staff also responded quickly to my Patient Portal questions and requests for prescriptions.
Reviewed on August 5, 2020 Waiting for my treatment
Reviewed on July 17, 2020 Dr. Abbot has been a life-changer for me. She took quick action when I was not feeling well and diagnosed me properly and prescribed an adequate dosage to help me feel better as immediately as possible. Knowing she is available to see keeps me going to Evergreen.

Reviewed on June 26, 2020 no problems at all! great experience
Reviewed on June 24, 2020 Listened, approachable, smiled, explained well.
Reviewed on June 22, 2020 It was a great first visit.
Reviewed on June 12, 2020 Professional and compassionate.
Reviewed on October 12, 2020 No discussion of side effects for the new prescription she gave me. Overly personal sharing of her own life details
Reviewed on October 12, 2020 She was really nice but running really late. She said she didn't have her normal MA and was very flustered because of it and thrown off.
Reviewed on May 21, 2020 Very friendly, but also shares a lot of highly personal information that isn't at all related to the visit, including information about other doctors, which felt odd. (For example, discussing another provider's marital status and pregnancy felt sort of like an overstep, and she shared a LOT of detail about how her day and week were going, which I've never had a doctor do.)
Reviewed on March 11, 2020 Dr Abbot was very kind and professional. The only reason she didn't have my medical history is because I had not yet had my file sent to her office. I will definitely choose Dr. Abbot as my primary physician moving forward.
Reviewed on September 5, 2020 doctor was very nice but all over the place. overshared lots of personal info. Didn't take all of my medical concerns very seriously and didn't ask for more details to understand better. I may be looking for a different doctor for future visits.
Reviewed on July 8, 2020 questions was not what I have come to expect from the various clinic providers. I was concerned she did not review my medication/allergy list before giving advice on pain management. I felt like the x-ray results should have driven next steps and that the ortho recommendation should have waited until after the x-ray results were viewed. That said, she was pleasant and professional to speak with.
Reviewed on December 4, 2020 provider was unprofessional, I hope someone has a conversation with this provider about her lack of professionalism. it is not appropriate to act like you want the day to be over in front of your patients who are scheduling this time for their concerns, not to hear about how you want it to be weekend already, makes the patient feel like you are rushing to get done
Reviewed on November 30, 2020 She just Googled everything I asked.
Reviewed on July 27, 2020 Told me "Just go to the ER." Made rude and impatient comments when discussing recent lab work.
