Dr. R. Alex Hsi is a nationally recognized, board-certified radiation oncologist with over 20 years of experience in cancer care, including prostate, lung, brain, GI, head and neck cancers. Highly skilled in Prostate Seed Brachytherapy, Dr. Hsi is one of the first physicians in the nation to use SpaceOAR® gel, a device that advances the protection of healthy tissue during radiation therapies. Dr. Hsi is very involved in research for prostate cancer treatment, and shares his ongoing findings at Dr. Hsi co-founded the Peninsula Cancer Center and spent 10 years in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. He has also served as an assistant professor of radiation oncology at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center and presently is an adjunct professor.
