Patricia Payne has been a family nurse practitioner since 1981 providing care to young adults and adults in a variety of practices both acute and chronic care. Her experience includes in veteran's care at the Seattle VA, where she began the women's care program there. She worked in an internal medicine practice prior to joining EvergreenHealth Women's Care, where she provides primary care to women, men and children ages 12 and up.
I believe that good health care is best provided as a team effort based on knowledge, education, mutual respect and compassion.
I grew up on a farm in central Illinois and always wanted to enter the nursing field. I worked in Chicago area for several years before moving to the Pacific Northwest for graduate school in 1979. I went back to the Midwest for several years, but returned to Seattle area in 1983. My husband and I live in Lake Forest Park with our Westie Zoey, and in my spare time I enjoy gardening, traveling and reading.
