General internal medicine with a focus on hospital medicine
Board Certified in Internal Medicine
I encourage patients to participate in decision making, empower patients to take charge of their own health. I believe in open communication and establish a trusting relationship with patients and family members during their hospital stay. I help patients understand their underlying illnesses, the importance of follow up with primary care to prevent future hospitalizations.
I grew up in Vietnam, completed medical school in St Louis and residency in Miami. I decided to move to Washington where my family has resided for over 10 years. I enjoy hospital medicine because of the ability to treat a wide array of diseases, with a focus on treating acute conditions. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, outdoor activities (camping, hiking, bicycling, kayaking)
