Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine
Experience
During my four year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at the University of Washington, I cared for, and assisted in the care of, hundreds of the most critically ill patients from Seattle and the surrounding regions and states. While in the pulmonary clinic at Harborview Medical Center, I cared for dozens of very diverse patients with a wide variety of lung diseases.
Philosophy
First, I will be knowledgeable. Maintaining current knowledge and skills will allow me to provide the best possible care for my patients and also to empower patients by educating them on their health. I do not believe in one size fits all medicine. I will listen to and work closely with each patient with the goal of providing treatment that is tailored to the specific goals of each individual.
Personal Information
I feel privileged to have the opportunity to interact with and form relationships with patients and their families as a big part of my career. The science of medicine is fascinating, but it's the people who keep it fresh day after day!
In my free time my husband, daughter and I love exploring the outdoors and getting some exercise, and then enjoying a great meal together. I also love yoga, singing, traveling and reading a great novel (always open to recommendations!).
