Pharmacist Jed Higginson monitors medication therapies to prevent/treat blood clots (anticoagulation), aids in smoking cessation, and manages chronic conditions such as diabetes, elevated cholesterol and high blood pressure.
I began my career as a pharmacy technician before pursuing a pharmacy degree at the University of Washington. As a student, I continued to expand my community pharmacy experience with an internship at Costco Pharmacy and clinical rotations in a variety of hospital and clinic settings. I've worked at EvergreenHealth's Anticoagulation Clinic (now Pharmacist Provider Services) since 2011.
I was born and raised in the Salt Lake City area, though my wife and I have lived in Seattle since 2007. I enjoy playing with my four kids, enjoying the assortment of incredible Seattle-area restaurants with my wife, exploring the wonders of Western Washington such as the Olympic Peninsula and the many beautiful islands, and following my favorite sports teams - go Huskies, Hawks, Cougars (BYU, not WSU!) and Jazz!
