Board Certified in Family Medicine
I have practiced full spectrum Family Medicine since 1984, in some cases taking care of three or four generations of families. I feel that when you know the family, you know the patient better.
I consider myself your consultant and advisor for your medical care. We will work together to form a plan for best outcomes and an ongoing relationship with each other. I will listen to you and hope to explain the medical care system and health issues as relating to you as best I can.
I came from the San Francisco Bay Area to Whitworth University where I met my husband and decided to pursue my longstanding interest in medicine. My love for medicine has always been rooted in Family Medicine and Behavioral Health. My calling has enabled me to get to know amazing people from all walks of life. My husband and I have a grown son and daughter. Our daughter is in Family Medicine also. In our free time we enjoy biking, golf and snorkeling when we can. I toy with my inner artist by painting and enjoy reading.

Reviewed on May 18, 2018 I wish there were more doctors and assistants like dr Cooley and staff. absolutely wonderful
Reviewed on April 30, 2018 Dr. Cooley & staff are great!
Reviewed on March 23, 2018 the first time I met Dr. Cooley was when I came in for a fall. She was the only doctor that had an opening at the time I could come in. She was incredibly thorough and didn't just brush me off like the hospital did. She sent me for an x-ray, but had me stay until the results were ready. she was concern that I had broken my hip. Even with a full schedule she made the time to look over my x-rays and consult me on the next steps. She personally called the orthopedic doctor to get me in the next morning upon seeing the two breaks in my pelvis. she called me on her own time to j form me of the update and the next steps in the plan. she had gone above and beyond what I expect from a doctor and I could not enough happier with my care. I've had true tissues with doctors for years and she showed me that some doctors can be trusted and are great. after how she treated me with my back pain and how she took the time to examine everything I knew she was one of the great doctors and have been seeing her ever since.
Reviewed on March 19, 2018 I would like here to comment on the excellent care I received from Dr. Janine Cooley. Your instructions ask about exceptional experience. The care I received from Dr. Cooley clearly falls into that category. I am a nurse and psychologist so I have an informed basis for recognizing what goes into good patient care. Dr. Cooley is responsive, knowledgable, and an excellent listener. Her assessment included a thoughtful review of factors contributing to my diagnosis - and she was right on! She was sensitive to and addressed my concerns. She has a very solid ability to establish patient rapport. I trust her and feel fortunate to have her as my primary care doctor
Reviewed on February 21, 2018 Recommended new shingles vaccine, even though I'd had one 6 yrs. ago. "It's better". More info would have been good, but I went home & read about it online.
