Dr. Jack Handley is a board certified emergency physician with 20 years of experience caring for the acutely ill or injured ER patients. He also served as an emergency physician in the US Army for 8 years and is past-president of the EvergreenHealth medical staff.
I have always wanted to be a doctor and still feel blessed to come to work each day to practice medicine. As an emergency physician, we step into patient's life in moments of tragedy and distress, and hopefully, relieve someone's pain or save someone's life. There is no better career. My goal is to listen and understand the patients concerns. I then hope to help the patient understand their medical issues, get them the appropriate diagnoses, alleviate fear, and move them toward wellness.
My wife and I have two teenagers who keep us busy with sporting events and activities. Our family loves to hike, camp, bike and travel.
